Reid Thompson, M.D., is a professor of Neurological Surgery and Otolaryngology and chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research interests include, among others, time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy for detection of brain tumors, development of optical contrast agents for the detection of gliomas, cytokine-enhanced antitumor immunotherapy, and intra-operative thermal imaging for brain tumors and vascular malformations.
