Leslie Gewin, M.D., is assistant professor in the Division of Nephrology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She leads the Gewin laboratory in the Vanderbilt Center for Kidney Disease. Her research interests include chronic kidney disease and understanding the mechanisms underlying the progression of renal fibrosis. Her lab investigates how growth factors and transcription factors alter epithelial responses, and how these responses impact chronic kidney disease progression.
