Bjorn Knollmann, M.D., Ph.D., is William Stokes Chair in Experimental Therapeutics and professor of medicine and pharmacology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He directs the Vanderbilt Center for Arrhythmia Research and Therapeutics. His laboratory studies the biology of cardiac arrhythmias. Using genetically-altered mice and human induced pluripotent stem cells as model systems, his ongoing research examines several key pathways of arrhythmias and sudden death in humans.
