Alexander Langerman, M.D., S.M., F.A.C.S., is associate professor of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research addresses the challenges of transparency and surgeon-patient communication, including decision-making on behalf of anesthetized patients, efficiency and logistics in the operating room, and the implications of video and data recording in the operating room.
