Lynne Stevenson, M.D., is director of cardiomyopathy and program director of the Advanced Heart Disease Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her physiologic principles are recognized worldwide in textbooks and guidelines for heart failure, and she helped establish the Intermacs Registry for Mechanical Circulatory Support. Stevenson is currently developing approaches to early evaluation of cardiomyopathy and to ambulatory hemodynamic monitoring to empower patients to decrease progression to heart failure.
