Laura Wayman, M.D., is vice chair for education in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has served on the American Academy of Ophthalmology Committee for Resident Education and was president of the Association of University Professors in Ophthalmology Program Directors Council. She currently serves on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Ophthalmology Residency Review Committee. She was the 2014 recipient of the Straatsma Award for excellence in resident education.
